Manuel Paul | Deutsche Telekom - Senior Expert Technology & Innovation

Passionate in driving software innovation and cloud technologies for broadband telecommunication networks, leveraging open source software and open/programmable hardware. Deeply engaged into technology innovation and engineering projects (incl. in leading roles) within the DT group, Manuel coordinates Software-Defined Networking standards & open source/collaborative community activities. He serves as a Product Owner in DT's Access4.0 program, an engineering program that develops a cost-efficient, lean to operate and scalable access platform to deliver Gigabit products. He has been involved in the SDN movement since the early days, has driven and contributed to various related standardization and community initiatives. Manuel serves in leadership positions at the Broadband Forum and the Open Networking Foundation. He is a co-initiator and leader of the Broadband Forum's Wireless-Wireline-Convergence Work Area. In the past, he was also active in the Internet Engineering Task Force.
