Manusha Sarawan is the Commercial, Legal and Business Affairs Director of Sony Music Entertainment Africa. With more than 29 years of experience in the music industry, she has spearheaded the development of the digital infrastructure for music in more than 20 African territories by forging ground-breaking firsts with regards to digital strategy and commercial agreements. Over the last 9 years, Manusha has brought Sony Music Entertainment’s vast music catalogue to Africa by concluding agreements with African services such as Boomplay, uduX, Safaricom, Emtel, MTN, Vodacom, Orange, Simfy, Joox and many others. Sony Music Entertainment has worldwide agreements with international partners such as Apple Music, Deezer, Vevo, YouTube, Spotify, TikTok and Triller. Manusha continues to be a driving force in the pan-African landscape of digital music, working tirelessly to accelerate the digital accessibility of the world’s greatest artist like Wizkid, Davido, Shun Brezzy, Kiddo, ShaSha, Shekinah, DJ Maphorisa alongside international artists such as Beyoncé, Chris Brown, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, John Legend, The Chainsmokers, DJ Khalid and so many more.
