Niyi Akinmolayan is a Nigerian filmmaker, director, and media consultant. He is best known for directing the highest-grossing Nollywood movies in Box office such as The Wedding Party 2 (2017: ₦500million in box office), The SetUp (2019: ₦53.3million in box office). He also wrote and directed the movie The Prophetess (2021: ₦131.2 million in box office) and is the Executive Producer of Elevator Baby (2019) and producer of Progressive Tailor’s Club (2021). Niyi started out as a graphic designer and website designer. His love for storytelling prompted him to understudy and work with several Nollywood filmmakers. He began to hone his skills in video editing, animations, and visual effects. Niyi is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria’s biggest media production studio - Anthill Studios. Over the last several years, Anthill Studios has helped create a diverse body of work for clients; offering different services such as documentary, TV commercial, Content production, Motion Graphics, Animation, Production, and Post Production services. The studio just signed a multi-year licensing deal with Amazon and is set to release in the cinemas a new movie titled “The Man for the Job” within the second quarter of this year.
