A South African business leader with a career spanning more than 25 years in banking, telecoms and digital. She established strong partnerships with fortune 500 companies and was the pioneer in designing disruptive, innovative consumer and business products for Africa. Many of which were Africa and World firsts, winning many awards. This strategic approach by Surie Ramasary positioned her former companies, MTN SA as the Prepaid leader, MTN becoming the No.1 operator in Zambia and Cell C being the fastest growing mobile operator in SA with double digit growth in services revenue. Her excellent experience expands across finance, commercial, technology, strategy and marketing in South Africa, Africa, Middle East and Europe. Driven by her passion to constantly create possibilities, she is the founder of a day spa, restaurant and a digital media technology company. She founded Digital Media 333 a year ago. She recently launched the newest all-inclusive entertainment, gaming and e-learning product offering called “Avvatta” in SA, Nigeria and Ghana with expansion into other African markets. Surie’s mission is to grow young talent and to continually change the landscape of how consumers use technology in everyday life by connecting the unconnected to services and offering them unimaginable experiences.
